HELLO! I’m Maryam Ikuforiji, a creative passionate about storytelling at the intersection of community and culture.
I hold a BA in Communications with a concentration in Integrated Marketing and minor in Legal Studies from Northwestern University (IL). As a midwestern native with Nigerian roots based out of Los Angeles — I’m motivated to create culturally compelling stories that reflect my belief that arts transcends everything as it supersedes cultural and linguistic barriers. My dream job probably doesn’t exist yet, but it remains of utmost importance to me to see growth in the representation of underrepresented communities in creative industries. This growth is to be pioneered by individuals, like myself, seeking to pave the way for future generations to think differently and flourish in all spaces.
