THE PROJECT
A beauty shoot for the Reverie Issue of STITCH Magazine. Reverie (n.) is a state of being pleasantly lost in one's thoughts. To me, this idea was best depicted by the concept of having one's "head in the clouds," therefore I sought to bring that concept to life.
THE PROCESS
As the photographer and creative director of the photoshoot, I aimed to capture a dream-like state through ethereal imagery and set design. In collaboration with members of STITCH's styling team, we were able to accomplish this look through detailed hair and makeup as well as impractical uses of practical items such as gold foil to bring models natural beauty to life as well as fashioning cotton pillow stuffing to imitate clouds.
THE PRODUCT
The result is a fresco of beauty that not only brings an everyday idiom to life, but also embodies the nature of the magazine theme — reverie.
