THE PROJECT
A photoshoot for the “Sex as Love” portion of STITCH Magazine’s Sex Issue (Winter 2020). As photographer and photoshoot director of this project, my goal was to represent sex as something beautiful.
THE PROCESS
The shoot was inspired by model and photographer Kimberly Douglas. In addition to drawing inspiration from her floral shoot, the project alludes to the falling roses scene from the film American Beauty and the classic trope of flowers in the bedroom. Consequently, I decided to capture models lying in a bed of flower petals creating an equally beautiful yet suggestive piece.
THE PRODUCT
This photoshoot serves as a visually compelling, artistic statement spotlighting the beauty of the human form and encouraging sex positivity, body positivity and self-love.
